Since 1999, Paradox Interactive has been a leading global publisher and developer of PC games and is world-renowned for its strategy catalog. The company has strong partnerships and distribution channels across all markets.

The steadily-growing portfolio includes firmly established franchises and the online community consists of millions of highly engaged and active gamers. After a decade of consistent growth, Paradox has already doubled 2014’s turnover during the first half of 2015 ending at 385 M SEK (approx. 50 M USD).

The mission

Paradox will continue to face strong growth, and ahead of this year’s Board composition we are looking to add a new member to our Board of Directors. This person will be expected to have a major and active role on the Board, particularly adding insight in digitalization and its influence on business development, marketing strategies and product development.

You should have experience with, and an understanding of, trends in social media and the digital world, and documented success in applying this knowledge in a business context. While experience in computer games is not a requirement, the right candidate has a genuine interest in the arena of which Paradox operates. Experience of online retail and from leading positions in digital growth companies will be considered a strong advantage.

You should have an entrepreneurial mindset, the ability to engage and inspire, and a strong desire to contribute to the future development of Paradox Interactive.

Required qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience of executive management in an international B2C company
  • Industry experience and knowledge of entertainment, media and/or E-commerce
  • Experience of working strategically in a management group
  • Strong analytic and strategic ability
  • Ability and experience of developing digital businesses, products, services and partnerships
  • Experience of entrepreneurial and high growth environments

On a personal level, we expect our next board member to be professional yet unpretentious and responsive. The right candidate has a strong strategic and analytic mindset as well as a natural sense of innovation, new ideas and possibilities.

This position is based in Stockholm, Sweden.
